New this month: We've completely rewritten our sight-picture generating software. The new version is a lot faster. Equally important is that the behind the scenes management of stored images is a lot more flexible, which means that new reticle and sight displays should become available more regularly. The same is true for target images. This version allows you to enter your own drop and windage information for a specified range. For now, the utility calculates only one picture at a time. This may be upgraded to multiple ranges, depending on user interest and system response time. Try out the new QuickPix sight picture calculator.

Grendel Potential for Big Game While most game is taken at surprisingly short ranges, we all like the idea of being able to reach out and touch our quarry pretty much out to our ability to see it with the unaided eye. Shooting skills are the principal range limiter provided the rifle, cartridge, & bullet are up to the task. We can use these considerations to explore the potential of the 6.5 Grendelª as a potentially effective medium game cartridge while still using the same lower receiver as is used in the standard service rifle.
